VIDEO: Tamara Greene’s family’s attorney pushes for depositions from Kilpatrick’s family

DETROIT (WXYZ) – The attorney for the family of Tamara Greene is asking a judge to force several members of the Kilpatrick family to schedule their depositions.

Norman Yatooma filed an emergency motion in federal court today. He says defense counsel for Kwame Kilpatrick, the city of Detroit, and some other Kilpatrick family members are not cooperating when it comes to setting a date to testify under oath.

Greene is the exotic dancer who was murdered in 2003. It’s been alleged that she danced at a rumored (but never proven) wild party that the former mayor held at the Manoogian Mansion.

Greene’s family is suing, claiming Kilpatrick and the city obstructed the investigation into her death.

A judge ruled that Yatooma could also depose Carlita and Bernard Kilpatrick for the lawsuit, but all of the discovery in the case has to be done by July 30, 2010.

In today’s motion, Yatooma says the attorney for Carlita and Bernard Kilpatrick, Bobbie Edmonds, claims her clients cannot be deposed until August.

Yatooma also says Kwame Kilpatrick’s deposition – which will take place in prison – keeps getting re-scheduled.
