Lawyer for Greene Family Deposes Cox

DETROIT (myFOXDetroit.com) – He once called it an urban legend, but Friday the attorney general, Mike Cox, answered questions about the rumored party at the Manoogian Mansion and the murder of Tamara Greene.

Cox has taken heat for the way he handled the investigation, but everything he said in his deposition will remain sealed.

Norman Yatooma said they’re not making friends, they’re making progress. He also said there were some twists and turns, but he really can’t get into the nature of any of that except to say he needs a lot more time for this deposition.

“I tried to answer all the questions and be as open as possible. So, that’s really all I can say,” said Attorney General Mike Cox.

Cox emerged from the federal court house after hours spent answering questions about his often criticized investigation into the rumored wild party at the Manoogian Mansion.

“I’m not certain I can characterize what I learned in there today,” said Norman Yatooma, the attorney questioning Cox. He represents the family of slain exotic dancer Tamara Greene, who allegedly danced at the wild party. He says all his questions were not answered.

“It’s not nearly finished,” Yatooma said, adding he needs a lot more time.

Yatooma said the questioning wasn’t cordial, and the judge had to intervene. The judge also reminded them this deposition is under seal.

“The judge made it painfully clear that we all must keep our mouths shut and say nothing, positively nothing, about anything that’s learned in these depositions,” said Yatooma.

The attorneys arrived shortly before nine o’clock Friday morning. They left just after five o’clock, and they will be having a conference this next week to determine if there’s going to be another day scheduled for this deposition.
