MSP Detectives to Testify in Greene Case

DETROIT (WXYZ) – Was the investigation into the never-proven party at the Manoogian mansion never really finished? An about-face in the lawsuit over the death of stripper Tamara Greene may reveal the answer.

Three Michigan State Police detectives will now be allowed to testify next week in a case that one attorney says has major political implications.

Lawyer Norman Yatooma is talking about Attorney General Mike Cox and the Michigan State Police troopers who were part of the investigation into an alleged party at the Manoogian mansion, a party that has never been proven; a party Cox called an urban legend.

Yatooma represents the family of murdered dancer Tamara Greene, who reportedly danced at the party in question. She allegedly was assaulted there by then-Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick’s wife.

Yatooma says he is pleased that the three MSP troopers will now give a deposition on Tuesday in federal court about the investigation.
