Tamara Greene’s daughters join brother’s suit against Detroit
Two daughters of slain stripper Tamara Greene have joined together with their brother in a multimillion lawsuit against Detroit officials.
The new parties to the suit are Greene’s 12-year-old daughter, Ashly Jackson and 6-year-old daughter, India, who lives with relatives in western Michigan.
Ashly Jackson lives with her father, Taris Jackson, 41, in the Detroit area.
Greene’s 15-year-old son, Jonathan Bond, and his father, Ernest Flagg, were already plaintiffs in a $150 million lawsuit through attorney Norman Yatooma charging that Detroit police executives and city officials thwarted an investigation into Greene’s April 30, 2003 death, preventing her killer from being caught.
Greene’s unsolved killing has fueled rumors linking her to a never-proven party at the Manoogian Mansion in the fall of 2002.
Someone in a white SUV opened fire on Greene’s Buick Skylark at 3:40 a.m. as she pulled up to her boyfriend’s home on Roselawn, near West Outer Drive. Bullets struck her in the face, chest and ear. She was dead at the scene. She was 27.
Taris Jackson filed an estate claim through an attorney in February in Oakland County Probate Court listing Greene’s brother, Brian Greene, as the other representative. Greene is a surgeon in western Michigan and is raising India with family.
Now, the three parties are merging with Yatooma for one lawsuit.
“They of course are every bit as deserving as Jonathan,” Yatooma said. “Jonathan, Ashly and India have all lost their mom.”
