VIDEO: New Testimony Surfaces In Greene Case

DETROIT (WXYZ) – New testimony in the case of slain exotic dancer, Tamara Greene, focuses on 911 calls and tapes that went missing after a rumored party at the Manoogian Mansion in 2002.

The lawyer for Greene’s family, Norman Yatooma, is trying to prove that the investigation into Greene’s death was blocked for some reason by the city, the Detroit Police Department, and former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.

The new testimony was taken from 911 dispatcher, Sandy Cardenas. In a sworn affidavit, Cardenas said she received several high priority calls about a disturbance at the Manoogian Mansion and several patrol cars from the 7th Precinct and surrounding precincts responded to the call. Cardenas also said when she went to work the next night, the 911 tapes about the disturbance had been removed.

Greene allegedly danced at the never-proven party at the Manoogian Mansion in the fall of 2002. Months later, she was murdered in a drive-by shooting.

New sworn testimony from Sgt. Odell Godbold, who was investigating Greene’s murder in the cold case unit, said he found out that an active-duty female officer had also danced at the rumored party.

Allegations have been made that Kwame Kilpatrick’s wife, Carlita, walked in on the party and assaulted Tamara Greene. Sgt. Godbold’s testimony said that the female officer was also assaulted by the mayor’s wife.

Sgt. Godbold and Dispatcher Cardenas have since retired from the police department.
