“Our ability to strengthen our ties within the community is directly related to the strength of our Board of Directors,” said Norman Yatooma, founder and president of Yatooma’s Foundation For The Kids. “The varied backgrounds, passion for our mission, years of business and nonprofit experience, and overall support of these individuals make them assets as we grow the Foundation’s depth of services and families assisted.”

Board meetings are held quarterly where members focus on governance, strategic planning, fundraising and building awareness. The Board works collaboratively to inform, involve and bond the community to the organization while continually growing a consistent and generous base of donors.

The Dinner/Auction takes place June 6 at the Townsend Hotel, followed by the Golf Tournament the next day, June 7, at Oakland Hills Country Club. Since its inception, the event, which is the Foundation’s largest fundraiser, has raised more than $2 million.
