Ex-assistant AG fights stripper suit subpoena

A former assistant attorney general is fighting a request that she provide testimony to the attorney representing the family of the slain stripper rumored to have performed at the Manoogian Mansion.

An attorney for Brooke Jordan, who was a one-time attorney in the special litigation division under Attorney General Mike Cox, filed a motion to quash a subpoena for a deposition.

Tamara Greene’s family has sued the city, former Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and top officials, alleging they obstructed a probe of her 2003 unsolved killing.

Kilpatrick, former chief of staff Christine Beatty and former Police Chiefs Jerry Oliver and Ella Bully-Cummings also have filed motions to quash their subpoenas. A hearing on the motions is scheduled for Tuesday.
